Last October 23, 2016 Entrepreneurial Marketing students under Prof. Richard S.  Celeste went to Iligan Computer Institute in Iligan City to conduct their Skills Training together with some exceptional and successful speakers.
The first speaker is Mr.  Junriel B. Bonachita,  Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of RIS Philippines which is a well-known company.  He talked about some terms which was sometimes misunderstood by some internet users. But the main thing that Mr.  Bonachita taught us was how to make our own website which was part of the requirements of our subject E-commerce and Internet Marketing.

The next speaker was the kind and beautiful Miss Piper Rambonga,  Co-founder and CEO of Knights of Online Marketers . Her life story was inspiring for us aspiring entrepreneurs.  From being a registered nurse to a freelancer she was able to create her own company and helped other people.  In her discussion she taught us how to be an online freelancer.  She also talked about the difference of being an employee and a freelancer.  And between the two the latter was the best choice since their is no limit on profits and learnings according to her.

The third speaker is Mr. Johnny Paul H.  Lagura,  Founder of RIS Philippines. He was also an inspiring person for his business was founded in a small town  in Mindanao called as "Kapatagan". On his discussion he focused on digital opportunities through rural impact sourcing.
On the afternoon Miss Piper Rambonga discuss about Social Media Marketing.  One topic she discussed was how to make your own Facebook page. On her discussion she included some tips on how to make your page attractive for the customers and techniques like choosing the right time for your product postings. Next is Miss Xerxes Queen Apostol Libre a graphics designer and owner of Dexter Print House. She discussed graphics designing especially tarpaulin layouting. The whole process of tarpaulin layouting was difficult but Miss Xerxes really tried her best to discuss all the steps as easy as possible. During her discussion we used photoshop software and Miss Xerxes taught us gthe different uses of Photoshop to make a wonderful tarpaulin layout which makes her discussion more interesting.

Last speaker was Mr. Francis Steve Martinez owner of Tibo Martinez Videography. During his discussion he taught us techniques and tricks to make awesome videos. The whole process of making those wonderful videos was not that easy but the discussion of Mr.  Martinez was still interesting and I think important to learn.
Overall the whole training was worth it since I think I've learned something out of those discussions.  And I'm looking forward for another skills trainings on the future with those speakers.

MSU-DTI: Trade Bazaar

August 30, 2016 marks the first trade bazaar exhibit organized by Mindanao State University and the Department of Trade and Industry in ARMM held at the Peace Plaza which is located at the back College of Sports Physical Education and Recreation (CSPEAR). The said event is hosted by the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) and participated by some of the colleges in MSU together with other businesses in Marawi City.  During the event the participants showcased their innovative and signature products like apparels, foods, herbal medicines and art works which shows the culture of Muslims living in Marawi City specifically Meranaos.
The program started with an inspirational speech from the Dean of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA). The program was just short and lasted for only a couple of hours but covers satisfactorily its purpose.

The event ended successfully and have helped others to open their minds specifically aspiring entrepreneurs of how wonderful to have your own business and how simple to start a business as long as you have the determination and positive attitude towards your idea. It also helped those individuals who participated to promote their products to others which can help their product to be recognized not just here in Marawi City but also to other places through traditional and electronic word of mouth.

Hopefully this event won't be the last but a starting point for countless events related to trade and industry in Marawi City.

Real Me

Hi!  I am Lady Ann Tabudlong Ligue. Twenty years old. My friends call me several bynames but I prefer ‘L. A’ the most. I look like the typical Filipina.  Fair skinned with an average height. I was born and raised in a small town in Zamboanga del Sur called ‘Aurora’ and our family lived a happy and simple life there.  My mother is a Public School Teacher and my father was a seafarer before he passed away together with my other sibling when I was twelve. Life seemed down and twisted during those times but our family coped up with that tragedy through time.
I am quite known as a silent type of person.  Main reason is that I am always careful with my words. So I often live life with my earphones and a single thing to read. Even so,  I still have few friends where I can talk and bond sometimes. I love spicy foods and caffeinated drinks like soda and coffee. I am also fond of dark and shaded colors and I love listening to alternative songs. I can dance and sing but I think I am more of a dancer than a singer. I also know how to act since I majored theater in my high school days.

College of Business Administration and Accountancy MSU-Marawi

At present I am a fourth year student of Mindanao State University in Marawi City with the course of Bachelor of  Science and Business Administration majoring in Entrepreneurial Marketing. As I think of it I realized that I just have a few more push before I can start reaching my dreams. The funny thing is aside from being a successful marketer and entrepreneur I also want to achieve my childhood dream which is to become a neurologist. I may sound quite ambitious but I know there’s nothing wrong about it. So if I will be given a chance to really achieve that goal I will definitely grab that opportunity. I also have other goals in life like to travel on beautiful places; do mountain climbing;  and build a single home where those old aged and seniors who live on the streets can have a comfortable place to live in and where they will be taken care of because they are fragile and deserve proper care and love.
If you’ll look through it you can say that I am very ambitious but I just hold on to the popular Filipino saying which goes as “Walang masamang mangarap’ and I believe that God has plans for me and whatever plans he has whether it goes with mine or not I will wholeheartedly accept it because I know that it's all for my own good. So I’ll just strive hard and do my best to reach my goals and trust the rest to God. That’s it.
