Aurora
is a clean and a peaceful place to live comfortably. It is one of the third-class municipalities in
Zamboanga Del Sur. It is sometimes called as the “Little Baguio” in Region 9 because
of its curvy roads and tall trees which give its humid weather. It’s the
home of beauties and friendly people. And it’s also alleged
to be the number one producer of professionals in the whole province since it’s
said to be rare in a family to not have one professional in it.

Auroranians
or the people who live in Aurora live a simple yet beautiful life in the place.
They have the brightest smile and the kindest people. They also love entertainment
so the local officials hold various events to gather the people and make them
happy. Two of those awaited events are the Badak Festival in November and the
Christmas Lights Competition in December. The following events are not only
enjoyed by the residents because other visitors outside Aurora Zamboanga Del
Sur also participate in it.

The
municipality does not have any particular tourist attraction but it had some
beautiful places where you can enjoy as well as relax while you’re in town.
Some of those places were the Aurora Mountain Resort located at Brgy. Anonang;
Rotonda and Freedom located at Poblacion; Wonderland Resort located at Brgy. Bayabas;
and some natural springs located in different barangays in Aurora.

Overall, Aurora Zamboanga Del Sur is a treasure for Auroranians and forever it will be.
